Bookplate TextLIBRARY OF Shurtlefff College / UPPER ALTON, ILL. / No | Class / LIBRARY RULES. / No books shall be taken from the Library without first being charged at the desk. / Regular books may be drawn for two weeks and may be renewed for two weeks more on application to the Librarian, provided there has been no call for the book in the meantime. / Books reserved by the departments can be taken from the Library only for "over-night" use. For this purpose they may be drawn fifteen minutes before the time of closing and must be returned within thirty minutes after the next time of the opening of the Library. / The penalty for failure to return books on time shall be five cents per week for "regular" books and fifteen cents per day for "reserved" books. All fines are payable to the librarians. / Reference Books and Current Magazines are not to be removed from the Library without special permission from the chief librarian. / Persons breaking any of the above rules, or owing fines will not be permitted to draw books from the Library.
