Cookie Day

The University had its 2nd Annual Cookie Day Break.   This year, it was in the week of President's Day, and with the celebration of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln and his 200th birthday recently, the Social Events Committee worked to give Library Staffers a cookie break but with a wonderful President's cake too.    The cake was flavored two-fold: vanilla and chocolate on two sides.

SEC Chair Joyce Wright reported that 15 Library Staff contributed many varieties of baked goods, ranging from cobbler to brownies to biscotti in bringing together this event.   Dean Paula Kaufman stopped by to contribute cobbler in her part for the celebration as a " thank-you" to the Library employees for the challenges they endure daily.

The HR department hosted the event in its conference room from 11am-4pm on February 19th.  They provided some lovely tulips as a centerpiece and the SEC set out the spread for everyone to enjoy.  At 4:00, most of the treats had been consumed, which even many were able to make some time to stop by with busy schedules to get a well deserved break.
