Present:  Paula Kaufman (chair), Lisa German, Dick Griscom, Janis Johnston, Bill Maher, Leslie Troutman, Beth Woodard, Greg Youngen, Jo Kibbee – visitor

 

1.  Jo Kibbee visits to discuss the vacant position in Reference

     Jo discussed the vacant position and the needs of the reference library.  The committee discussed the need for the reference position in context with other needs in the Library.  A search committee was selected for the reference position.

 

     Karen Schmidt will be invited to the next EC meeting to talk about future needs in the Library.

 

     The EC will hold a brainstorming session to discuss future staffing needs in light of the transition of the Library’s workforce and workplace.  

 

2.  Approval of minutes from 23 September 2002

     Changes will be made and sent out to the committee members.
