Review effectiveness of the restructured Cataloging Policy Committee
This will be sent to the Administrative Council for input by January 2, 2002.
2. Reopen search for head, Slavic Library
The first search failed so the committee appointed a new search committee and reopened the search.
Spousal hire in Law Library
The committee recommended moving to the screening stage.
Mentoring of junior faculty
Some suggestions included having each division discuss the research going on in their area, having Round Tables about different aspects of each person’s job, giving support to untenured librarians, and sending a memo to untenured faculty reminding them not to let their research slide in the face of additional duties at this time.
Restructuring the Budget Subcommittee
There was discussion about how this subcommittee could be restructured. Karen will come back to the next meeting with her wishlist.
6. A committee was appointed to work on the Chancellor’s campus initiative.
