- The April 14
th minutes were approved with several minor changes.
- May 14 Eat and Talk on Multicultural Programs and Diversity Initiatives. Emily and Cindy
will be sharing information about various efforts throughout the Library. Much of this will
be the same as they previously presented at a faculty meeting, but this is also open to staff and
GAs.
- We discussed fall and spring training program ideas and dates. We agreed that we want to
pursue LGBT Ally training. Emily will contact Rene Monteagudo of the Counseling Center about
bringing the training sponsored by SODA (Sexual Orientation Diversity Allies), to see if they can
present two different two-hour programs, one on sexual orientation issues and one on transgender
issues. It would be ideal if the two programs would be presented in successive
semesters.
- We discussed next year's committee appointments. Cindy is at the end of her second term,
so may not be able to continue on the committee. We hope to have at least as many people on
the committee next year as we did before Emma Lincoln left. Members of the committee are
encouraged to find out if people they know would be interested in joining the committee.
