The User Services Advisory Committee will provide guidance and advice on such Library-wide issues as:
The Committee should be able to provide broad, diverse, and innovative viewpoints on services today as well as on their future directions.
The Committee is chaired by the AUL for User Services and will consist of 5 to 7 members appointed for two-year terms by the University Librarian with the advice of the Executive Committee and the AUL for User Services. In addition, the current chair of the Reference Services Committee will serve as an ex officio member. Committee members will serve two-year staggered terms, may be appointed to one successive term, and are drawn from an appropriate balance of academic and support staff. The majority of the members should be involved in direct provision of service to library users. The AUL for User Services, with the advice of USAC members, may appoint sub-committees to carry out the work of USAC.
