Description: The Place in Between: Managing Change in the New Library Environment

As the Library transitions into the New Service Models, we are all bound to feel confused and stressed. This workshop will help you better understand those feelings. Shirley Stelbrink, from Learning Alliances, Inc, will delineate the process of change and help us each understand where we are in this process. Shirley will also then help us anticipate our users’ reactions to these changes.

Three goals:
1. Providing library employees with strategies for understanding and managing change in the new service model context
2. Providing library employees with an understanding that how they are dealing with change will impact how library users perceive changes in library services
3. Helping library employees anticipate user responses to changes in library services
