Upcoming Local Gaming Events

Here are a few Gaming Events that are being held this month.

WINTER WAR 36

Winter War is Champaign-Urbana, IL's annual adventure gaming convention. Winter War started as a small event organized by the Conflict Simulation Society on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1974.

Show Me Your Moves 9 (SMYM9)

February 7th 2009
9:00 AM - 12:00 AM

SMYM9 is a Super Smash Bros Melee Tournament. It features Singles and Doubles Pools and Brackets.

Top Floor of McKinley Church and Foundation
809 South Fifth Street
Champaign, IL

Entry Fees:
Venue Fee: $5
Singles : $10
Doubles: $20

Gaming and Learning Expo

Sat. Feb. 28th
1:00 PM - 4:00PM

This event is sponsored by Park Ridge Public Library, the Friends of the Library, and the Park Ridge Teen Center and is being held at Maine South High School, Park Ridge, IL.

If you’re interested in exploring video games and learning, attend the Gaming and Learning Expo! Event includes featured speakers, Game Designer meet-and-greets, Information tables from area universities including DePaul University, DeVry University, and Flashpoint Academy, and Hands-on gaming arcade including Rock Band, Wii Fit, DDR, and much, much more.

Admission is FREE!
