Welcome Back Students and Faculty
Indeed the 2007-2008 school year is underway. This week new doctoral students in Business Administration received an orientation, and yesterday, many many students needed some pointers in getting textbooks and where to find Room 66.
Tonight, Associate Professor Carissa Holler kicks off her new course, Financial Information Systems (FIN 580). Registration limited to MSF's and MBA's. The course introduces students to key financial services databases and teaches them how to navigate them to successfully extract data and apply the information for financial modeling problem sets.
The Central Reference Services group offers a couple of workshops for business school students (and faculty) of possible interest.
Citation management software program and is free to currently enrolled students. This workshop will cover the b ases in accessing the software, how to search catalogs and databases, import references, and create bibliographies according to the ctation style requested for the course or publisher.

Another workshop offered is "Tools to Stay Current in Your Research".
This will teach students how to use RSS feeds as current awareness and find a RSS reader that is suited for research.
