Demo 2006

From Business Week:

What a difference six minutes can make. At the annual Demo conference, that's how long a startup has to pitch a new product or service in hopes of lining up investor backing. Fewer than 70 companies were selected from a pool of more than 1,500 to "demo" their cutting-edge wares at the 2006 show in Phoenix.

Demo is designed to give an early peek at some of the products expected to have the highest impact on the technology landscape in the coming years. This year's highlights range from a newfangled ice-cream vending machine to an innovative way to stave off ID theft.
