Database Alert: Bloomberg

As written by CH on the BEL homepage:

The following link will take you to a pdf document prepared by Bloomberg, outlining the Global Product Certification process: Bloomberg Global Product Certification Program

A few supplementary notes pertaining to certification online:

Courses (page 3 of the document) are available online and are taken by watching the corresponding videos through the Bloomberg system. The videos average approximately 30 minutes each in duration; however, additional time may be needed to practice the steps and shortcuts to prepare for the test. The test corresponding to each video is also taken through the Bloomberg system. In order to successfully complete the test, some further exploration on the Bloomberg system, beyond the subjects covered in the video, may be necessary. Overall, individuals with little or no prior experience with Bloomberg may expect to spend approximately 1.5 hours on each video/test combination.

Please note: There are only three certificates available, at the conclusion of the Equity, Fixed Income, and Foreign Exchange tracks. Page 5 of the attached document refers to nine available certificates, one at each level within each track - this is not correct.

Students interested in Bloomberg Global Product Certification should make arrangements with Carissa Holler or Yoo-Seong Song . RAS
