• Ask-a-Librarian (real-time)
  Ask-a-Librarian is a virtual reference service that provides opportunities to chat with a librarian via Instant Messaging (IM) services, the AIM askillinois chat widget, or SMA Text Us. Of course, you may also get librarian assistance at any campus library reference desk, by email, or by phone.

• Campus Mail
  Items requested via the Online Library Catalog or I-Share Catalog (Illinois academic libraries catalog) can be delivered to offices of faculty, staff, and graduate students by selecting "UIUC Campus Mail" from the "Choose pick-up library" dropdown menu of the electronic request form.

• Discover
  "Discover” allows linking of Library resources, such as full-text electronic journal articles.

• IDEALS, the Illinois Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship
  IDEALS collects, disseminates, and provides persistent and reliable access to research and scholarship of UIUC faculty, staff, and students.

• Issues in Scholarly Communication Blog
  Active 2005-2010, this blog is intended to provide a basic overview of the key issues affecting the scholarly communication system, and to suggest measures that U of Illinois scholars can take to help create a better system.

• Guide to the Public Access Mandate
  The National Institute of Health (NIH) Public Access Policy mandates that all NIH funded peer-reviewed works must be freely available in its PubMed Central repository within 12 months of publication. This guide provides information that will help University of Illinois authors comply with this NIH mandate.

• Grant Forward

• RefWorks
  RefWorks, like EndNote, is a citation management tool which is supported by several bibliographic databases.
