Branch Campuses

After World War II, the university established branch campuses at Galesburg and Navy Pier in Chicago. Galesburg Division Administrative Subject File, 1946-49 (49/1/1, 3), includes publications, clippings, correspondence, minutes, reports and photographs concerning recruitment and placement, housing, varsity and intramural athletics, admissions, registration, student enrollment, summer sessions and transfer of students. Galesburg Admissions Survey, 1949 (25/4/15, .3), lists personal and academic data on 1800 students attending the Galesburg branch. Rehabilitation Education Center Scrapbooks, 1947-86 (16/6/12, 3.5), include newspaper clippings and photographs of wheelchair sports, Gizz kids basketball tournaments and trips.
