Description: Papers of John R. Case Jr. (1889-1975) '13, including correspondence, clippings, diaries (1909-17), photographs, programs, awards, autobiography (1981) and related material about childhood in Illinois and California, European travel (1911-12) in Germany, England, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and Russia; career as a track man at Illinois (1911-13); participation as a hurdler and sprinter in the Stockholm Olympics (1912); physical training of the 40th Division and then Army units in California (1917-19); and production and promotion of the "Cavalcade of Books" television program (1952-70).
