Description: Field notes on apple orchards at Griggsville, Olney, Kell and Tamaroa (1904-05) including records on bitter rot, dust and liquid spraying, weather, bloom and growth rates, records of fallen apples and windfalls, twig and trunk measurements, final picking summary and moth record and insect notes containing descriptions of apple and plum curculios and poisoning experiments conducted with curculios. The series includes notes made in 1903 by James R. Shinn on: curculios, marked leaves and leaf injuries, and the crown gall experiment and Shinn's diary for a summer of 1904.
