Stewart (1890-1974), professor of agricultural economics (1924-59), including reprints of articles, manuscript drafts of speeches and articles, data, reports and correspondence on agricultural economics conferences; travel in Latin America, Europe and Afghanistan; farm appraisal; farm relief and an export-debenture plan; government land policy; Illinois Highway Research Project (1961) and county reorganization, land prices and income; land tenure and transfer; land values and taxation and strip mining and its relation to agriculture. The series includes correspondence, reports and publications relating to academic retirement annuities and housing, gerontology, the AAUP and legislation (1950-73).
