S. Whildon, a preface by the author, autobiographical material on his farm boyhood in Iowa & his photography of farmsteads & photographs of rural churches & schools; an 11-page appendix containing narrative information & maps on agricultural development in the U.S.; highway maps of states & provinces showing the author's routes & the locations of farmsteads; a copy of Mosher's introduction & narrative for an illustrated lecture on "Farmsteads of the United States;" reprints & articles on farm management, farm income & agricultural economics (1916-54); & his FBFMS Fieldman's diary (1925-27) & expense ledger (1925-29).
