Mosher (1882- ), professor of farm management extension (1923-50), including 1600 35mm color slides & 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 negatives of farmsteads in the United States & canada, showing date & location of photographs & notes on farm size, crops & buildings; "Catalogue of Films & Colored Slides for Farmsteads of the United States of America at the Middle of the 20th Century" (1965) listing number, date & location of photographs & indicating if an enlargement is in scrapbook volumes located at the Agricultural Hall of Fame & National Center in Bonner Springs, KS; "It Happened That Way Out Where the West Begins," Mosher's account of farm life, 1976-1905 (1978); three volumes of "Farmsteads of the United States at the Middle of the 20th Century" (1966), containing 1390 black & white prints of farmsteads arranged by state showing location on a United States map, typewritten data on land & tenure, crop & livestock production & farm income in 1950 & location information for the photographs, a foreword by M. S. Whildon, a preface by the author, autobiographical material on his farm boyhood in Iowa & his photography of farmsteads & photographs of rural churches & schools; an 11-page appendix containing narrative information & maps on agricultural development in the U.S.; highway maps of states & provinces showing the author's routes & the locations of farmsteads; a copy of Mosher's introduction & narrative for an illustrated lecture on "Farmsteads of the United States;" reprints & articles on farm management, farm income & agricultural economics (1916-54); & his FBFMS Fieldman's diary (1925-27) & expense ledger (1925-29).
