About the Applied Health Sciences Library

General Information

The Applied Health Sciences Library is one of the major academic libraries of its kind in North America. The current collection in room 146 Main Library contains over 20,000 books, 19,000 microform publications, and over 300 periodicals and other serials on sport sciences, kinesiology, physical education, exercise, fitness, leisure, recreation, tourism, public health, community health, aging, rehabilitation education, and speech and hearing science.

Over 100,000 additional volumes are located in the Main Library's bookstacks.  These are primarily older books that circulate less frequently and older volumes of journals.

Assistance in using the Library and in locating material is always available to you, so do not hesitate to ask for help. Full- time Library staff is available 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays; student assistants normally cover evening and weekend hours.
