Position available. This position is available beginning November 1st, 2013. This is a 25% FTE (10 hours a week) position working at the International and Area Studies Library, under the supervision of the interim Japanese Studies Librarian. We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to work as a Graduate Hourly in close collaboration with the Japanese Studies Librarian and cataloging staff. This person must an enrolled Master’s or PhD student with advanced fluency in Japanese.
Job Duties: the successful applicant will help the Japanese Studies Librarian in different projects including, but not limited to,

: The applicant must be a graduate student with interest or knowledge in Japanese Studies; must have good reading and writing skills in Japanese; must be proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat; must be able to work independently, paying attention to detail. The applicant must possess good communication skills, have the ability to work as part of a team.
