Major Duties & Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Digital Humanities Specialist and working closely with the interim head of the History, Philosophy Library this student will assist in the digital workflow for digitizing print and film newspapers, maintaining digital newspaper resources, updating metadata records in Voyager/Archon and social media outreach to users.

Ability to work a set schedule of 10 hours per week (at least 3 hours at time) between the operating hours of 9 am and 5 pm. Current Graduate Student in LIS, Computer Science, or a related field. Ability to work independently. Proven ability to perform fine detail handwork. Good written and oral communication. Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Photoshop and social media.
Experience with: Digitization, Cataloging, XML, Script programming (specifically ASP, Python), OO Programming (e.g. Java, .Net), Database programming/administration (MSSQL Server, MySQL)
