Library Acquires Archive of Americana

Through funding from the University of Illinois Chester Fund, the Library has acquired the Archive of Americana. This remarkable electronic collection of primary source material covers history, philosophy, religion, technology, the arts, and literature. In its 31.5 million pages, the Archive details the development of U.S. democracy and society over a 200-year period. It supports the humanities in much the same way that electronic access to Elsevier titles has nurtured the sciences.
