There are few collections of advertisements available to the public in the U.S. The University of Illinois owns three different collections totaling over 5 million advertisements. These collections document commercial messages and more than 100 years of consumer culture in America. This section of the web exhibit provides information about the specific collections and highlights some of the advertisements they contain.
