Access Task Force Group 4 Updates

Summary of Group 4 activities:

Members of group - Katie Clark, Esther Gillie, Lura Joseph, Nuala Bennett

We had an initial group meeting to plan our strategy, who we should talk to, papers that we should read.  Esther agreed to develop a bibliography for the group.
We also planned to do case studies of a number of departmental libraries to see what they have that is part of the "hidden web".  Esther would survey the Music Library, Nuala the Rare Book Library, Katie the Reference Library and Lura the University Archives.  Each group member has now completed that case study, and we propose to include those as part of our report as examples of departmental library "hidden web" resources.

We have had two other meetings as a group - with Sarah Shreeves, coordinator of the IMLS OAI project in the Grainger Library and with Joanne Kaczmerek, the previous OAI project coordinator and now, Archivist for Electronic Records.  We have planned a meeting (tomorrow) with Tim Cole.
